Linn "Krystal" MC cartridge

It was inevitable that some of the special sauce that makes Linn's flagship MC cartridge ("Kandid") so special would eventually find it's way into a more affordable alternative. The Krystal could be thought of as 'son of Kandid' providing a similarly informative and involving presentation. (However, you won't find much hyperbolic comment on Linn's website because they prefer that their products speak for themselves.)

Krystal Specification: Krystal is a low output moving coil cartridge with an open framed, alloy chassis, three point headshell mounting, and an aluminium pipe cantilever tipped with a Vital Fine Line diamond. Linn state that the recommended load resistance range is 50-200 (ohms) and recommended load capacitance is 100-1000 (pF). At 1khz, channel separation is 30db and channel balance is 1db. Overall mass is 7grams (quite low for a high performance MC) and the recommended tracking force range is 1.5-2 grams.
