This system combines everything Linn have learnt during more than four decades of research and experiment in the fields of acoustics, electronics, and mechanical engineering. Linn's patented "3K Array" achieves resolution and pitch fidelity previously found only in the very best studio monitoring systems. In addition, the Akubarik's use of isobaric bass tuning helps create an exceptionally natural and nuanced lower register (no fatiguing bass drone here).

For the most discerning of music lovers, Akubariks are available in the following technology variants: "Linn Exakt," "Linn Aktiv" or conventional 'passive.' Each has its merits, to be discussed in relation to client requirements. The Akubariks can also be converted from one version to another.

Since the Akubariks are so revealing of source and amplification, I encourage (and facilitate) clients to avoid compromise in those areas.

Regarding finish options: superficial matters are not top priority at Linn, but I think it's fair to say they've made a strong effort here to please the eye almost as much as the ear; menu finishes include 'piano' (pictured) and a range of beautiful real wood veneers (choice of light and dark woods, low sheen or high gloss).
